Feed the hungry and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.Ever since I got back into church and began deepening my faith once again, I knew I wanted to do mission work. God has increased my love for the poor and oppressed day by day as I grow in Him; He has given me a heart for helping people out and telling them about Jesus.
I now look at other careers with hardly any interest anymore. All I want to do is pack up my things and head across the country helping others out.
I have this big dream of buying and renovating an old bus, painting it, and fixing it so it can feed and give shelter to the hungry and homeless. I want to do a big tour around the country, helping out as many people as I can, whether it be with food, a place to stay, or just to let them know that they are loved and that they don't have to go through this alone - they have the Lord.
I want God's light to reflect off of me, like the moon reflects light from the sun. I want people to see that it isn't me who is doing these works, it's God doing it through me. I am the body through which the Lord does His work. I have given my life over to Him.
